Our Mission
We strongly value collaboration in finding the best solutions or treatment for our clients. Our dedication to service, authenticity, and compassionate outlook drive our work, allowing us to wholeheartedly address client's range of needs with an individualized treatment plan.
While we are the guides, our clients take the wheel and choose the route. We journey together to create positive change.
Our Story
Lisa Anderson, Owner, and Founder of A Healing Place had a vision for a private practice that could incorporate everything she had learned in her long career. After years of working in other human services sectors, she wanted to open a one-stop shop for all your mental wellness needs.
A Healing Place specializes in mindfulness, positive psychology, and providing therapy for individuals with trauma histories, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. We work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from ages 4 to adult. Whatever the age, we want our clients not just to survive but thrive.
Growing from one therapist to 17, plus 4 support staff has brought us from our original location on College Avenue to our current location at 145 W Wisconsin Avenue in Neenah. We are proud to be a part of Neenah’s downtown and want to continue contributing to our community.
We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health and want to get that message out to the people who need it most. We know that there is a stigma surrounding mental health, and we want to help break down those barriers. Mental health affects everyone and can be improved with the right treatment. We are here for anyone who needs us.
“With the right care, happiness and recovery are possible!”
— LISA ANDERSON, FOUNDER
All Are Welcome
You deserve a welcoming, loving world.
And so do the people you care about. We believe everyone has the right to live their best life in a community that loves and supports them for who they are—no matter what.
At A Healing Place, we believe that being an ally means standing up for people who need it and taking action every day to ensure your communities are safe, inclusive, and welcoming.
We're here for you if you're struggling with your own identity or trying to help someone else figure out what it means to be LGBTQ+. We can connect you with one of our counselors if you need someone to talk to or give you access to tools that will help you support the people in your life.
